re: Uploading Hash Tree

Every now and then I click on to 'Monitor" to see what is being uploaded. Sometimes I see "Uploading Hash Tree" appear for a few seconds. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is this?

It is a perfectly normal part of limewire and Gnutellas operation,
