Sorry to hear about your computer..... Limewire doesn't have a year membership its free for basic and pro costs $18.88US and that doesn't give you membership of sorts it gives you six months of free updates only. Where did you get your limewire from because I think you may have been scammed.....:(

Umm, I hate to tell you but Limewire DOES NOT have yearly memberships. You can only get Limewire Pro or the free basic at: www.limewire.com any other site is a scam. Limewire DOES NOT offer lifetime memberships either. I strongly suggest if you crashed to scan your system with an anti virus program right away! Limewire Pro offers 6 free months of upgrades. You pay once a flat fee of 18.88 us dollars for the Pro version.

Think i got it from an e-mail. Paid i think about $20 and said it was for 2 years

I hate to say it then you got scammed. What you got is probably a fake version of Pro that you paid for and thats why you crashed. clean your computer system with an AV and get rid of that corrupted version ASAP and cancel your transaction with your cc card if you still can.

www.limewire.com IS THE ONLY site to get the Pro version.

wondering why is correct, you got conned out of your money.

Ok . Thanks for your help.

Try to contact the scam site and get your money back (easier said then done), but definatley contact your credit card company and tell them of this and get your money back that way....

Sphinx November 16th, 2005 03:27 PM

and hopefully, you didnt already pay for that transaction becaus eif you did then they might not be able to cancel that out for you. you will have to report it as fraud to your cc company, they will send you mountians of paperwork to fillout, dont let this ride. these scam sites iwll use your cc info. thats why they do it. they want your number which, I suggest you try to change as well.

good luck.
