how I check my "appearance"
 

crazy question, but does anyone know a way to check how I appear to other users? I am just very curious to see how I am appearing to other users....are all my files that I am sharing showing up? what catagory user am I showing up as? is the speed at which I can be downloaded from acceptable by LimeWire standards?.....stupid questions but ones I would like to know the answers to..

Go to Direct connect on the search page of Limewire and type in your ip ... you will see it there, and with luck you will see your share as others see it. This does not always work. The connection speed you set in Tools or preferences is the speed other users will see you as. I do not think the speed you select has any actual effect, other than to give an indication to others, but someone may correct me on this.

Um There are many different speeds on limewire, as you will see from your down loads and your uploads will similarly vary. What is "acceptable " depends on the user. I tend to accept any speed as long as I get the file I want in the end:)
Some people seem to complain if ther speeds are anything below lightning speed:)
