Limewire won't open...

I installed it. It ran great but when I started everything up the next day, windows couldn't find the ".exe" file. So, I installed it again and it works fine....until I start up the next day. Then I have to re-install it again.

Anybody have any ideas?

Running windows with limer wire 4.9 pro.

Where did you get Pro from? Limewire is extremely stable if you got it from the official site. and I strongly suggest you run an anti virus scanner right away. You may have picked up a virus.

I got it (and paid for it) from the Limewire site. Once it's installed, it runs fine. What makes you think this is a virus. Is there currently a virus that does this?

It shouldnt actup at all. If it acts up then I think you should scan for any viruses, seriously. It sounds to me like it got corrupt.

If you dont have any anti virus software, here is a trusted site where you can get a free one:

http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/security/fwvirus.html

sometimes you can unknowningly pickup a virus or a trojan while downloading from Gnutella. and if thats not it, then someone will be by to offer some more advice. or, maybe you need to do a fresh install if windows cant find the .exe?

As soon as I shut everything down for the night I'll run my McAfee over it.
