"Need More Sources" constantly

Well, I'm have a problem. Whenever i try to download a song, at the bottom where it shows the % done, it instead comes up with "Need More Sources". Now i have tried right clicking it and hitting "find more sources", but that doesn't work either. It also says "Awaiting Sources". This ahppens with every single song i try to download. I don't know if it a connection problem, a firewall problem or something else. If anybody has any insight on what to do to fix this please help me. I haven't downloaded a song in forever. I have tried to Uninstall it then reinstall it but that doesn't work either. I reallly dont know what the problem is but if anyone may now how to fix this please tell me i really need some help. Thank You.

right-click on the search tab and use "repeat search" to find more sources. Should work better than "find more sources"

If all that shows up is junk, change your search terms, and every once in a while delete all the 0KB files in your incomplete folder to start fresh.

Let's test your setup:

First, search for a file that is legal to share, like Alfie_Zappacosta_Start_Again.mp3

Use an All Type search, and type in "Zappacosta Again .mp3"

How many results do you get?

need, more sources

(after i've pulled down 6-12 songs i want) i check for slow or no go songs (awaiting) (need more). right click on them, search for more of the same song. as soon as you find a faster speed, cancel original, then download new version. on mine if i don't cancel first one it locks up. you have to clean up your incomplete library after. i have had three or four versions before i find a fast one. luck.

Try downloading files with more host. If you look in the toolbar in the search window you will see the # sign, look for files that have at least 5 host. Also I am not 100% sure how much this will affect you but there is an option to block non-sharing people from downloading your files. If you are not sharing any files maybe you are being blocked from downloading certain peoples files.

Freeloaders s@#$

i already know, my freeloader settings don't work. no whine just fact. i do hope they can fix THAT problem. it's too bad you can't "LINK" someone a conscience. ( webster's new dictionary) "a sense of right and wrong with an urge to do right". but then again aren't we all (sharing)? hmmm.

don't download a sharing program if you don't want to share!!

You have a valid point. I am not sure if my freeloader settings work either but I often manually weed out freeloaders on large files like movies or programs. Hopefully they fix that and a few other problems soon but they are working hard. I don't know if having a conscious helps because I'm a pretty rotten person and I'm sharing 7,000 + files lol.

Yah we all have that b$#ch button (guys as well). i'm also sharing about 7000. i was told elsewhere in this forum that that's really too many. i will be paring mine down somewhat. too bad there isn't a way to know what people are downloading from you so you could leave it available. when you have 1000's of songs (or even 100's) it's hard to look at each one to see. i know when i'm connected, they don't stop till i disconnect. i would think everyone would be HAPPY, that someone actually wants what they have to share. cause if they ain't downloading from you, you ain't got nothin' they want. :)
