Why does Lime Wire Disconnect?

I have a high speed cable connection (always connected to the Internet) yet when I leave the computer on LW disconnects even while there is a download or upload(s) taking place. It seems to take an hour or two before doing this. I don't think it's because of any power saving setting on my computer. Lime Wire disconnectes but my computer stays normal. Any ideas?
