Spyware a big problem with Lime Wire

LimeWire has absolutely no spyware or adware. Zero. None. We do not bundle any other software with LimeWire.
I read this on Lime Wires home page before I downloaded the program yeterday evening. I have allways heard bad things about Lime Wire and it's unethical practices but thought that after the last settelment things had changed so I would give it a try. The first thing I downloaded using Lime Wire was full of spyware and adware. My spyware catcher found 20 different infections. I spent 3 hours running scans in safe mode and normal mode before I finally got all the infections off my computer or at least I hope I got them all off. Before this I was thinking of getting the pro version if the free version worked well but now I would not recommend the program to my worst enemy.

Good now that you know so much and are such a computer expert. Perhaps you can provide us with the answers to a few questions.

Where did you get your version of LimeWire.

Did you do a spyware scan before downloading LimeWire.

What spyware detector are you using.

Where are the snapshots a picture is worth a thousand words.

You should really know what you are talking about before you speak. I myself can provide snapshots to prove you wrong every once in a while there is a idiot like yourself that comes along and tries to stir things up but unfortunately there is to much proof as to the opposite of what you say.

So do your home work pull your head out of your *** and go somewhere else if you want to stir up some crap trolls aren't welcome here.

Spyware

Grandpa I got my Lime Wire download from www.limewire.com if that is not the right place to get it then please tell me the right place to go. Also if you would have read you would have seen that at eas not the lime wire down load that gave me the spyware but the program that I downloaded using Lime Wire. I down loaded three different programs and ran Norton System Works, Mirosoft Antispyware, and Spybot scans on them before and after extracting them all showed nothing. It was not untill I ran the setup for one of the programs that it asked me if I wanted to install a toolbar that my spyware programs strarted go crazy. I had alerts going off one right after another. Last I do not appreciate you responding to my post with insults and foul language if that is the only way you can reply then I would just as soon not hear from you.

There are too many spyware programs out there that don't work properly. Some even have spyware themselves. You need a spyware program that is compatible with p2p sharing programs. Otherwise they detect the magnet link function & http help link, etc. & think these are bad.

Recommended is: 1. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE), & also 2. ad-ware (FREE)

In otherword its Limewire's fault because you got infected??? Oh god, where do these dumbasses come from? Let me guess, you were trying to steal software and download a small file that turned out to be a trojan?????

No P2P app is responsible for your're downloading habits.

What exactly is LimeWires unethical practices? LimeWire is nothing but software that connects you to the Gnutella network.

LimeWire can not download anything you are the one that downloads things off the network. Perhaps you should do a little studying before you open your mouth and insert your foot again.

If I were you I would stay completely away from any file sharing software until you learn how to use them and how they work.

Every statement you have made so far shows just how little you know about what you are doing. For your own good do not use P2P apps or you will download something that will really mess up your computer.
