limewires fee
 
hi ppl, ok just recently i paid for limewire only to find out that my brother-in-law had it installed for free??!!! i have pop ups everytime i start up limewire asking to upgrade to PRO.

How comes i paid for my limwire?????!!!! any help would be grateful.

Well if you're using LW, then why did you post in the BearShare program section? This is where you should have posted Limewire Forum sections

To answer your question, if you have popups saying to go pro then you don't have pro. Simple as that. You must have bought your LW from a scam site who either have LW basic on their servers or sent you to the official downld page for LW Basic. One simple way to find out if you have LW Pro is Shows About LW Pro (click on link) If yours doesn't say pro then you don't have pro.

hi, thanks for your quick reply its much appreciated. i guess its like you said but now i have a couple of problems, one is that i have obviously been scammed ( twit ) and the other is that i have no idea who or what website has charged me for this! if i contact my bank they will obviously want to know what site i had visited and i have no blinkin idea!!!! aaaaaaah!!!!

How long ago was it? Check your browser history. You can also check your bank/credit company transaction. A phone call can find this out. Be it talking to staff or checking your record via tele-banking or a statement being sent to you. It's always best to move on this ASAP however.

thanks lord of the rings, im going to call them in a mo and try and find out......after reading the posts that you replied to i got a funny feeling i downloaded from www.filesharingcentre.com it just looks familiar. be back with news and thanks again for your help

hi lord of the rings, ok heres what i found out.....the website which i downloaded limewire from is www.mp3downloading.com and not the other as i stated before.

the bank said they would send me out a dispute form for the transaction and will look into it. i have my doubts but i guess its worth the effort.

i cant believe i actually done that! im normally so careful DER!!
