black and white mpegs and films

can anyone tell me why everytime i get a film file thats an mpeg it plays in black and white?ive just started a download and the preview started in colour now its black and white why is that its really starting to annoy the life out of me someone help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Codecs? Which player are you using?

A lot of the time it's actually the video which is made to be like that. So don't always think its a problem, could just be the video on its own.
