Why did my files on lime wire turn red
 

when i go to my library on lime wire all of my files are red. when i go to change the names on them it says another program might be using them, but i dont have any other media programs running. could this be a virus? when i download a new file the text is black until i restart my computer, then it is turned red. can anyone help?

Red letters mean the file is not being shared, black means it is. When you first start limewire it takes it a little time to recognize all the files, and they will initially show up being red.

Did you try hitting the "Refresh" button? It's on the library page below the library folder window.

Thats just a suggestion as I'm really not sure:confused:.

Ahh is it possible that you are not sharing your shared folder. I just right clicked on my shared folder and clicked on "stop sharing folder" and all my files turned red.

So try right clicking on your "Saved Files Folder" and click on "share folder" Then post back and let us know if this worked:).

i clicked share folder and they all turn back to black, thanks for the help.

I too was having problems with "edited file names"
showing up in red. The "refresh button" solved
all my problems!
