Newbie Questions

I have a couple of newbie questions (Day 2).
If I get Pro is there something else they will
try and sell me?
I tried to get PRO last night and failed twice.

Please give me some ideas about how to
search for old songs from 1955-65.
I don't know the artist or songs
(I plead a senior citizen memory)
Thanks a Real Big Bunch!!!

Yes I will have to be REAL careful not to get tears
on my new LimeWire Tee Shirt. Some of these old
songs quite literally bring tears to my old eyes (I'm 67).
I expect to spend my days logged into Limewire.

the Streets"!!!

Must be some glitch, I may be a newbie, but I assure
you I didn't click "post" three times!!!
I tried PRO again and got the same message as last
night:
Bad Gateway!
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /index.jsp/pro&21.
Reason: DNS lookup failure for: www.limewire.com

Well as they say the third, er SIXTH time is a charm.
I finally got PRO to work.
Perhaps someone somewhere fixed something?
We can hope anyway.

I sure do like some of these old songs, they quite
literally bring tears to my old (67) eyes.
Best Wishes Always!!

Yeppers, LimeWire Pro seems to be GREAT!!
I'm beginning to feel like a "PRO" (day 3).
Searches are still a bit strange in that
at eBay for example, you need to
'make your search MORE specific'
at LimeWire Basic if for example you are
looking for audio and enter both title and artist
you get 'your search is TOO specific'
at Limewire Pro, you don't get that
'your search is too specific' as often
and you get more responses.
Call me crazy but I like TOO SPECIFIC
ie let the computer do the work.
Best Wishes All!!

Thanks Hobo!!
The non standard entry of titles makes
"standard searches" a bit iffy.
Sometimes I get better responses by title,
other times I get better responses by artist.
Even the sorted responses need study.
But, I sure am having fun!!
I have spent at least 8 hours here for three
days straight, (I'm retired, live alone).
LimeWire keeps grandpa out of the bingo parlours.
Best Wishes Always!!

Useful Tip? Maybe!

try going to HMV and search for 50s, 60s music or best of 60's etc.

You will have albums appear... simply click on an album cover and up pops all the song titles with artist which are on the disc.

now you can do a search on limewire for these song titles or artists!
