Hi, I am using AOL Uk Broadband 2MB service, currently I cannot set the download/upload speeds properly as there is no applicable settings there.

Aol Broadband 2MB is Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 288 / 2.272.

I can get the download speed setting ok by using T3 but then I cannot set the upload speed as there is nothing there close to 288kb........ I cannot use unlimited as AOL freezes (max's out)

Please help!

hello.... probably due to a.o.l. a mate has same problem....i think they do it on purpose.... i use NTL 1MB average download speed of 130kbps, a.o.l. will do half of that

before i forget, hav u disabled the ultrapeer capabilties? if not, u should

if you aint got the bandwidth to be a ultrapeer what difference does deselecting it have?

I don't have a fast connection... adsl 480kb/sec or so but before the paramaters were changed with 4.9.30, I always connected as an ultrapeer, which amused me Since then I have never done so except on one occasion when I was trying to connect as an ultrapeer, and my connection was going off an on and I closed LW and reopened with UP dissabled. so ... even if you don't have the capabilities to be an ultrapeer, something or other might try to make you one. That's why you should deselect.
