HELP I have a home network
 

I have a home network and I havent been able to figure out how to get my desktop to see my limewire songs on my laptop. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

1. Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link)

2. Make shortcuts for yor downld folder. You could potentially add them to your laptop if it's connected to the network.

3. By default your downld folder is located here: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared
Keep that in mind when searching.

I think I am flat out hopeless the files are mainly on the laptop that I want to put on my desktop but its not cooperating.

If approaching from another computer, then don't forget the address of your LW downld folder. To double-check, go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Saving & this will show the location & address.

Or, more simply, you could find your Downloaded folder, where your downloaded songs go into, and share it on the network. (Most likely read-only just to be safe). Then just go to that folder on the desktop when you want to play songs that are on your laptop. You can also create shortcuts, or map network drives for quick, easy access to the Limewire folder.

I have tried that and it wont share no matter what I do.
