problems with iPod and Limewire
 

Hello

Who can please help me:
I have downloaded quite a bit of songs via Limewire and I even think I managed to drag them to my music labrary of iPod in my computer (windows). But now everything refuses to upgrade my iPod again. The message I get each time is that the playlists on my iPod no longer exist. Which is quite true as there is no music at all anymore on my IPod, but still everything (fortunately??) including the Limewired songs are in my iPod music library on the computer. Bet I am not the first one with this problem, but have not found a solution yet on this forum, so please, who can help me out? Thanks very much!! Nanda

So all your songs are in your iTunes Music Library right? That's where you must get them 1st before adding to iPod. Ignore the Limewire (LW) playlist as that only refers to song files that still reside in your LW downld folder. Steps are 1. Add to iTunes. 2. Connect iPod & probably wise to use the manual adding to iPod from iTunes, not auto-updating. Did you see the iPod tutorial? Did you see the iTunes tutorial? Did you see the whole of the 1st page in the Sticky thread at the top of this section? (links to all tutorials provided in that thread. Also some samples of how to add songs from LW's downld folder to iTunes.) ;)
