You should go to you local PC World store and ask for an external DVD writer that you can plug into your laptop. They will be able to advise you on model and price.

PS. Try to go during a week day (maybe even after Christmas) because Saturdays tend to be extremely busy.

PPS. The PC I now use was purchased at PC World.
