Did you get this settled? The business manager for LW sometimes posts in gnutellaforums, so you might be able to contact her this way.

Roc December 20th, 2005 01:35 AM

no. not sorted yet. its a weird one coz i read some other threads about scams but i tried to buy through the official limewire.com site.
If there was a way of contacting limewire directly im sure it would sort everything out

Sphinx December 20th, 2005 01:54 AM

Did you go to: www.limewire.com to get the Pro version???

Cancel out those additional transactions ASAP. You only need to pay ONCE for Pro 18.88 USA dollars. The site might have a glitch and or your browser could have crashed during the transaction and they didnt receive the order etc.

Roc December 20th, 2005 02:01 AM

ya. followed instructions but when i pressed submit info it said that info could not be processed coz credit card info was incorrect. so i tried again 2 more times with no success.

patrolist December 20th, 2005 05:16 AM

I did the exact same thing the day before yesterday. I read the topics on scamming BEFORE ordering, and ordered PRO from www.limewire.com.

After submitting my cc info. I got the same message as Roc...
only I tried 10 times to correct my cc. info. Oh yes.... billed 10 times!!!!!

Some propably concider me a stupid newbee  from doing this, but I only thougt my info was incorrect. NEVER got paymentinfo. and no returning mail from Limewire.....

Need contact asap!!!!

Want the PRO version, but not for 188,80 USD!!!!

stief December 20th, 2005 05:24 AM

The biz manager will be interested to know about this, so I've sent out a few messages.

Keep us posted please if this doesn't get resolved today.

patrolist December 20th, 2005 05:37 AM

Thanks!

My bank told me to check my account often over the next few days, and have also notified VISA on the subject....

Roc December 20th, 2005 05:39 AM

ya cheers.

will wait in earnest!

We're certainly not trying to trick anyone into purchasing more than once - the user gets angry, we get nasty phone calls and big chargeback fees... What we are doing is implementing more stringent parameters for card acceptance to cut back on fraudulent purchases.

If you're using a bank card, the charges will show up for a while even when the charge was automatically voided on our end - which is what happens when the card info isn't cleared by VeriSign, our payment processor.

The charges should, however, disappear as the void reaches your bank. If they don't, please get in touch with Lime Wire - our number will be posted next to your bank statement, and it's a simple matter for our billing department to look at charges to your card, see what's going on and fix any lingering issues.

Thank you for the reply. ;)

This is pretty much what my bank told me too. Will just have to wait and see if this resolves by itself.

Roc December 20th, 2005 08:39 PM

Sphinx December 20th, 2005 09:38 PM

ass4ssin,

FYI wink, wink, that is most likely a hacked version of Pro you moron. I hope you got plently of Anti Virus protection on your computer if you use it. Retard.

You can only get PRO if you pay for it, dumbass.

Sphinx December 21st, 2005 08:55 PM

Amazing, isn't it? They probably pay much more for their ISP every month unless, of course, they live with Mommy & Daddy and have Daddy pay for their connection.

Moderator,

I have write some mail here, and I have a problem with "Limewire Pro" I have by accident double pay for Limewire pro. But even so, I could not use Limewire pro, It don't allow me to download it, because it don't except my e-mail address. The bank did phone me today to tell me that there is double payment take on my card for Limewire and that I can only claim it back from you by e-mail or what ever. So is it posible for you to advice me how I can do that?

Kind regards,
Petronella

Have you sent the PM as I suggested in this reply to your post in the other thread???

If so, please be a bit patient. The person handling those problems will of course get back to you a.s.a.p.;)
