I recently upgraded to Limewire PRO and got billed but received no e-mail to upgrade. When I visited the site to try to remedy this situation they tell me they have no record of my e-mail address. And they have no way to contact them in order to get this situation straight. Needless to say I am extremely angry.

So how much did you pay? If you paid more than US $18.88 then you didn't pay at the official site, you were scammed. Recheck who it was that received your money thru your C/Card company.

I f you want to keep getting more out of shared files you would do good to pay for it. Business works one way no matter what the business is. Why should anyone help you if you just wan't to steal it. Sharing is really caring. Caring works both ways!!!!!
Don't steal shared files they are worth 100 times what you are paying for them in entertainment.:)

Thanks for the offer to send me the link but they are right...this is a business. Besides that...I don't mind paying for products that work well. If everyone were to steal it then how would they create updates and make better product for us to use? Not to mention...if I really wanted to get it for free I could have had my friend e-mail me her link before I even paid for it.

It turns out I was wrong though. Turns out the full transaction never completed. I jumped the gun. It was listed in my pending transactions but it never went through. Do I guess I'll I just need to re-order it. Thanks for all your support and ideas.

Limewire only costs 18.88 USA dollars and if you cant afford that, then you wouldnt be able to afford being online and if you are stupid enough to use a hacked version of Pro you deserve to get hit with viruses.

I have the exact date that Limewire Pro was charged to my credit card for 18.88. It was longer than 6 months ago. Do I have to pay again to re-install the program? I hope not:( I have tried all our emails with no luck.

I'm brand new on here so pls. bear with me and I hope I am doing this correctly!

I purchased Limewire Pro v. 4.9.37 about a year ago, and I am have upgraded to newer versions once or twice, to my current version 4.9.37. Now, I want to upgrade to the newest, 4.10.9, and Pro does NOT recognize my email addy now. I can't do anything; can't go any further. I really don't think I should have to pay AGAIN, because that is not supposed to happen, once I pay once, for PRO. (right now I can't order stuff online anyhow, until I get a new debit card going).

Can anyone help with this 'Pro/Email' issue I have? Thanks! Berni50

Pro costs US$18.88 which covers you for 6 months of updates & email support. If your 6 months are up (sounds like yours certainly are), then you'll have to buy Pro again.

If you bought a version of Pro that promised you a "once only payment" or something similar, it was a scam.
The only place to get any version of LW is www.limewire.com
If you don't want to pay for a new Pro, you can download the latest basic (free) version from this site.

If he/she thinks they have to pay only once & it's been a year since they bought Pro... makes me think they've been promised a "one payment only" deal.

i've had limewire pro for about 3 months, i went out of town last week in feb. and my brother decided to hang out at my house, no problem. however when i got back he had deleted my limewire pro and installed a limewire version that is not pro. he could not download something and thought he needed more room on my computer and decided to delete some things. he realized a little late that i would not be happy and download the free version. question is there any way to get the pro version again without paying again?

Just got a new computer after not having one for about 2 years, and I am new to the world of music and movies online. On 3/4 I spent $59.85 at mymusicinc, and an mp3 rocket Icon appeared on my desktop and it works, but I cant seem to contact them by email. Did I just get ripped?

Yes they did! I was suspicious when I clicked on the monitor tab while downloading and saw all the streams coming from mostly limewire and/or bearshare. So since my last post, I did some research and sure enough, you are correct. I then pulled a search on "mp3rocket" and the various comentary I read was not good. Live and learn! Could have been worse. I have been making a habit recently to search the web using company names and read some of the comments. I wish I had done that first. Its weird because my daughter mentioned limewire and I typed in the address (or so I thought) and was directed to the mp3 rocket site and thought I was getting limewire. I feel like I've been "Bushed"

Some of the tips here might help get your $$$ BACK!!! (music members). Also, you can cancel the transaction thru your C/Card company. Ask to speak to the fraud department & explain you were scammed & didn't get what you had aimed to get. Usually they will refund your transaction if you speak to the right department of your C/Card. But also make sure the site where you paid doesn't charge monthly or whatever. It might be an idea to cancel the card & apply for a new one after dealing with the refund.

I have just purchased LW Pro and didn't receive an email link to upgrade. When I go to the help page it tells me my email address is invalid. How can I get this fixed. I have sent emails and have had no response.

Providing you bought an official version of Pro ($18.88 for 6 months of updates & email support from www.limewire.com), see the thread below for help links. Your best bet is probably to send a PM to RSterne, she should be able to sort it out for you:)

Thanks. It was a real version and I have sent a message to her as well as any other email that is shown, most of which have come back undeliverable. I'll just have to wait a while and see what happens.
