Using .zip for complete albums
 

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone know of a reason why more people do not use the .zip method for sharing complete albums on Limewire?
My friend uses shareaza and they do that a lot (You zip the music into a folder and put it as an application/program instead of a music file). I know it will still be a large file but I have seen how slow the raza is and if they can do it, I know LW can, unless there is a specific reason.

There is no reason this can't be done on Limewire. It is nothing to do with Shareaza or Limewire in fact. People can share what they like on either.

HOWEVER There are a lot of zip files and application files out there containing viruses and a lot users do not seem keen on touching them for that reason. Album wrap or ALBW is the way most people share albums as far as I can see.

Yep I agree with Only A Hobo. Albumwrap is a happier way to go. I've come across a no. of corrupt zips of albums. And I suspected they were deliberately corrupt (Overpeer, RIAA, etc.) Which was a pain considering they were very large files to download. At least with albumwrap you can "sometimes" preview them before they've finished downlding.
