New user needs help viewing downloads
 

I have looked through several pages of queries and havent founf my problem so I am posting it here. If it has been addressed previously, my apologies.
I am having trouble viewing some files. They have yellow and green flashing horizontal stripes showing overtop of the video. I use VLC, Div-x and a few others. the results are the same with all.

I also note that the Limewire media player button appears to be pressed in all the time. It cannot be reset. Any help is greatly appreciated.
