It is good, however, never install the %?&$ skins! The skins make Avast unfunctionnal. There is also antivir which is free and very good: http://www.free-av.com/

hey Jay, I have advast and it seems to be pretty good, I haven't ran into any problems as yet....;)

I d/led Avast a couple of times but it slowed my comp down to half snail-speed. I use Antivir.

I also use Avast and it seems to work fine for me, though I think it could be more user friendly. But I'm always open to new suggestions:).

I've never tried Avast before. I prefer to use McAfee.;)

Hi wondering why,
I don't know I wasn't really paying attention. So I scaned my pc and there was like 140 some files it couldn't scan:confused:. I'll have to try to figure it out:).

Wow 140 files, I get about 10, let me know how you go...

i think those are system files , that are active montering and not checked by reg scan

Well I couldn't figure it out so I decided to delete them To the recycle bin:D. But they didn't go to the windows bin they went to the error bin in the avast log viewer.
So I scanned my pc again and it didn't show any files it couldn't scan and my pc is running fine. Still don't know what they were, thought maybe they were bits of programs that I had deleted from my pc. They can be restored if it screws up the computer:).
