Paid for PRO but did not get it.

I also paid for Limewire PRO when I paid for the software download, but I did not receive the PRO version. Can someone please help me sort this out? Please let me know if you need any other information in order to help me. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

scammed?

It was a box that you could check on the page where I signed up. It just said "I want the PRO version".....and it had a little box next to it that you could check. It was like 14.99 I think. Then it downloaded the limewire software, but not the pro version and it kept popping this thing up asking me to sign up for the pro version for only 18.99. I was like "WHAT??" Any help you can provide? Anyone? I feel like I have been scammed.

You need to be sure of exactly how much you paid. Was it $18.99 or $18.88? Did the payment page look like the image below? Normally LW customer support will send you an email with a link to your personal pro downld page.

limewire.com is the only place to get Pro if you think you got scammed, call your bank or cc card and cancel that transaction asap!

LOTR is this forum dragging its heels lately? Im having hard time getting pages to load.

the link I used.......

The link I downloaded the software from where I paid for PRO and did not get it (and also paid for a "lifetime membership" - $22.46) was www.limewire-software.com. Once you get to the second section it asks if you want to download the PRO version for $14.95. I'm gonna guess this is not an official Limewire site...........?

I'm very, very sorry to hear your plight. Did you download it from "their" server or did they re-direct you to the official LW download site. If you downlded it from their server, get rid of it. Some scam sites offer adjusted versions of LW that are filled with junk such as spyware, adware, etc.

As for your money, cancel it asap thru your credit card & contact their fraud dept. They will understand if you speak directly with that dept. & they will refund your money. Also, contact the link at the very top of this following page to make a formal complaint: Known Scam Sites (click on link)

Note I'm adding that link to the list. There's a couple of others very similar in address.

Sphinx the forums dragging & pages loading very slowly for several weeks. The site owners have been contacted. Hopefully it won't take too long before something's done. ;)

Paid but no goods

Same here, I filled out the order form and when I clicked to continue, a page popped up telling me that the order was unsuccessful for a

number of reasons.
Fine.
I clicked the back button and closed the browser.

I then checked my credit card and found that a transaction had taken place.

I now have NO Limewire Pro and do you think I could find an email address to report the problem?
There is only the webmaster & feedback addresses but the info says emails will not be replied to.
