Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

Disable your XP firewall if you haven't already. XP & Norton FW's tend to clash with each other & cause problems & also can result in less security.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)
