getting back Limewire files after a factory settings recovery
 

Could somebody please tell me how if possible you can get back your limewire files back,after you have done a complete factory settings recovery,i've lost all films & music video's.Is there anyway to retrieve these files??:confused: :confused:

I doubt it, if you have restored factory settings. There are file recovery programmes, but I'm almost sure you have eradicated them from your drive. You can try. This post has links in it, but all I can really recommend is that in future you make regular back ups of your important files:(

Thanx hobo 4 your reply,i will try a 3rd party recovery firm but i will have to pay 4 it,i just wondered if anybody knew how 2 recover files from out of the hard drive itself,cheers 4 your comments much obliged:)

As I understand it the free programmes might well find deleted files on your HD, but you could need a paid programme to actually extract them. I am concerned however that Your Factory Resetting, could well have totally eradicated the files from your HD. So I would not want to be responsible for you wasting money on something that would not work:)

I have never needed to do this my self, thankfully, so I'd be really interested to know how you get on:)

If you have done a complete factory reset of your PC using the recovery disk it came with then all previous info and data will have been deleted because the "reset" action reformats the HD.

When I first got my PC I had to do a "factory reset" on it because the preinstalled applications (Windows XP, Norton Antivirus and firewall and a host of utilities) were not properly installed. So I was advised by PC World's help desk to do a "reset" using the recovery disk.

The PC then goes through the process of reformatting the HD then reinstalling the apps from the hidden part of the HD.
