hello agian i ammmm sure i am posting in the wrong place but honestly i am not too sure its supposeadly a simple question i have lol i currently have comcast broadband and i have to rent this little blue box its been called both a router and a modem who knows lol but my question is my internet at times seems to lag alot and it really souldent so i was told that spending a 100 bucks to buy a new router/modem would definatly fix my problem is this just bs or is it possiably true? thanks agian for your time and paticence

You really should ask your ISP that question because they have a "preferred list" of equipment (modems, routers, etc.) and software (connection app, TCP configuration utility, etc) they recommend that you should use.

The drag might be due to your settings in LW. Reduce your uploads & downlds speeds slightly. If you're not using iTunes then disable iTunes sharing option. Don't use the resume/find sources on all your files as this will definitely use up a lot of your computer's resources. If you use this function, use it on just 1-3 at a time. Set your uploads & downlds to autoclear. After opening LW, let it settle before using. It needs time to load the incomplete files, shared files & then it will attempt to connect to each one by one by itself. So give it at least 10 mins or more depending on how many shared & incomplete files you have.
