Can/cannot browse host Hello. The forum search function is returning an error at the moment, so apologies if this is addressed somewhere. What does it mean when the browse button is active (or Browse Host is selectable in the contexual menu), but selecting it does nothing? In this case, clicking on a downloading file and selecting "Browse Host" results in a new search opening, but only for a moment--the tab appears for less than a second and is then completely gone. I had thought that the presence of the option meant that you should be able to browse. |
It sounds to me like you're using OSX right? Browse host is not always easy. It certainly helps if they have chat enabled. For some reason that seems to make browse easier. See Direct Connect, ... as it has a section for Browse also. BTW I've been meaning to add a sticky to both chat & browse host but ... Sorry about the search function. The forums are having a server issue at the moment. Hopefully it will be sorted out within not too many weeks. |
Thanks for the quick reply. Is there anything in particular I should read there? I have port forwarding all set up (LW confirms that I can receive connections), but I still have the Direct Connect problems to the other IPs. |
