Limewire will not run

Having problem with Limewire Pro. When I first installed and opened, program ran then I shut down the program and restarted. Program would not open but it would open when I clicked on the Limewire icon in the system tray. After this, I shut down the program and my computer.

I restarted my computer, opened Limewire and received error message saying that limewire has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. I also noticed that the System Tray icon was gone.

Have removed Limewire per instructions from Limewire and did a new reinstall and the same thing happens. It works the first time after install then when I shutdown and restart, I get the error message.

This all happened after I downloaded the latest version. I tried downloading to the previous version but now I have the problem with this version also.

Have remove Limewire completely as I can't get it to work

Check for Alcra virus and others with no indication I have infection.

Checked Task Mgr and CPU usage is at 3% so I don't think I have a virus.

Has anyone seen this problem or have a solution so that I can reload Limewire and have it work as it did before.

Thanks

Odd--almost sounds like there are multiple copies of LW on your machine.

If you post the system details (the forum rules has examples of the info needed), perhaps someone will be able to recognize the situation.

Windows XP Home
2.4g Pentium 4
512 Ram
Limewire 4.10.0
Cable Connection

Under this are two buttons. Send report and don't send.

Everytime I try to run Limewire, I get the same message.

Limewire gave me instructions on removing Limewire and Java then doing a clean install but the problem still persists.

They also had me check for the W32/ALCRA.B virus but couldn't find that either.

Would it have anything to do with K-Lite Pro which I also have on my system? Incombatable?

Please disregard or delete this message. I fixed the problem. Thanks anyways.
