I've been looking for music videos but everytime i type in the artist it just gives me a bunch of random artist...how do i type it in specifically to give me what i want?

Try using 'all types' to search, rather than 'video'. It can give better results.
Type in something like artist name - avi (or whatever format you're looking for). Or artist - genre - format eg Joe Bloggs hip-hop avi
