Would it kill you people to ensure your files actually work?

I just spend seven hours downloading a movie off of LimeWire and it's completely useless because it's a corrupted file.

Hi there

Addressing the guys on here who try and help out users as "you people" isn't very nice.

I use Bitzi to check out files before I download them and only choose those with a good rating.

Reading this sticky at the top of the page will tell you about Bitzi.

Hope this helps

Number one rule for any download - if you cant preview it after a few minutes of downloading - kill it and move on!

No 2 rule, dont always believe the file is corupted if you player reports it as such - try another player, try newer codecs, particulary with DivX (.avi files)
