Default Help!

Hi Im new with Limewire and its a great P2P application. I just need help with the deletion of files here in LW.

You see, when I delete files from LW's library or even in the save folder itself, someone can still access those deleted files.

Here's an example. I downloaded some video and music files. I decided to delete them because it eats up my hard disk. Then my brother used my computer. When I got back, I saw these files in the playlist of my brother (he uses WINAMP).

My question is how is he able to access these files when they are already considers as "deleted".

Also, he managed to access these but WHERE? Is there a folder that keeps these files undeleted?

please help me with this little prob of mine! thanks!

Are you sure that your brother isn't screwing around with you or something (maybe with a keylogger), because when you delete a file from limewire it should be gone forever unless you use a file recoveryprogram

No I dont think so. Theres no file recovery program or the likes.

Demn this is confusing.

Would there be a slim possibility that your brother has burned the files to a CD or DVD before you deleted them, if not then I'm out of ideas. Try asking him.

Did you delete them by going to your shared folder and deleting them out of there if you did they went to the recycle bin and if you didn't empty the recycle bin he could have recovered them from there.

If you deleted them from the library when limewire was running they were permanently deleted and if your brother figured a way to recover them from there there are allot of people that would like to know how he did it.

Another possibility. If you previewed the files, there may be a partial file in the incomplete files in the LW library. Maybe your brother got access to them from there, or if you previewed them with winamp they might be on a playlist in there.

Did you try playing them? They could be old playlists that don't link to anything.
