downloads I was told that limewire uses pieces of songs downloaded from sharing and then compiles them to make the song so that its harder to track the ip address of the members since the song is coming from multiple sources. Is this true?? Does the whole song come from your library? Thanks for any help. |
Partial file sharing is used to help get faster downloads, not for security or privacy. If you have the only copy of a file on the network, all the pieces (chunks) will come from you. If you want a secure and private system, gnutella is NOT the way to go. |
