Post Sad Fact

Its one thing to generate revenue with advertising and another to install a tracking program on your customers machines. sadly Limewire has decided to join the dregs of the internet. One can imagine the thought process behind this, millions of people are using our prouduct whats the easiest way make some income from this.
Unfortunatly you may have just re-aligned yourselves in the hearts and minds of users from good guys to sleaze. If you think the feedback is harsh let me tell you, there are thousands of silent users like myself for whom your program has just become persona non-gratta and it will never again be installed on our computers.
You are obviously some talented developers but I fear you have made a grave decision.

sorry

Angry

w8 Limewire 1.8, U HAVE KILLED GNET!!!!

pple moved from the then more popular and generally superior BearShare to your java, system-hogging client just for one reason alone, NO SPYWARE and NO AD-AWARE.

no-one will download your client on their systems anymore.
u say we have the option not to install the other bundled programs but yet removing cydoor from the system renders limewire useless.
U HAVE F@#$ed big-time

well, it's on to Audiogalaxy and Morpheus for me!

Cool

LimeWire 1.8 for Linux does not contain any ads, nor does the LimeWire 1.8 for 'Other' OSs, if you are so very afraid of any ads, why don't you just use one of them? Java is cross-platform, after all, and although you would have to install it without the Install - Wizard (oh my god, it's a terminal, - I'm so SCARED!!!!) it should work with Sun's VM.
