new scam?
 

i have recently recieved a legal letter stating using "shared" folders are illegal and that a law suit has been instituted using our ip addresses to take action against everyone named by that address. i don't even know if it's collected from LW or another site..i only used K when that first came out...what do you think?

You could try contacting your isp. They should know, they would have had to give out your name. I wouldn't get to excited until you find out. Also "Shared" folders aren't illegal, so it sounds a little fishy. If you need legal advice contact a lawyer.

It's a new scam. It was in the news a few weeks ago.

Do not repond to it in any way, not even to your own ISP.
