My kids decided to buy limewire instead of using the free version. I cannot get my money back it says? Where on the site is it posted that there is no money back?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I cannot find a telephone number at all, and any time I try to email, I just get a general response instead of the email going through? Any suggestions, anyone (and no need for anyone to get mean about it either.) Thanks

That's right, there's a no refund policy. This is because the basic version is available for free & so no-one is under any pressure to buy Pro.

There's no phone support. Pro gives you email support only.
Btw, did your kids get the official version from www.limewire.com ?? If they bought a scam version from somewhere else, then you might be able to get your money back.

Go back to the official LimeWire page and click on get Pro go to the bottom of the page where it says final step. Then click on the link where it says Please read our Refund Policy.

Yeah, the little "sweeties" bought it under limewire.com. Still can't get it to work though....even followed the directions for firewall. any help on that?

You'll need to read through this thread, it explains how to configure your firewall. Don't use 2 firewalls at once, that'll cause probs.

If your router uses UPnP, you'll have to make sure it's turned on & also use it in LW (tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Tick use UPnP & apply). Sometimes modems/routers have problems with their internal firewalls. All this info's in the thread anyway:) Do the port test & see what result you get.

If you can't get past the firewall prob, post your details
OS (Win XP etc)
LW & Java versions (help > about LW & you'll see)
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connectioin type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, work etc)
Firewall you're using
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
