I'm glad you have at least got the computer back to working correctly

If you wish to install Limewire again, I cannot see why there should be a problem, except for two things. One is we'd need to know which version of Java is installed, and which version of Quick time. Also after the OSX 10.4 there is usually .(and another number).

I haven't gone into great detail, as I'm not quite sure if you just wanted to return the computer to your friend in working order, or you do want to install Limewire.

Also a power adapter is vital... I'm a bit mistified how you have managed without it
