combining files in limewire library

hello,
am new to limewire and have been enjoying it a lot.
in my library i have three files i don't remember making/naming, but there are "tunes", "shared", and "saved" files which i would like to combine into one.
i did try to fool with it a bit, to no avail. suggestions?

I presume you are talking about audio files ie mp3, wav, mp4, ect.

In order to combine them you need and audio editor program.

Listed below are the programs that I use to edit audio, and create audio files from tape, LP's ect.

Voyetra: "Audiosurgeon"
Nero: "Nerowave Editor"
Cool Edit Pro (Which is Adobe Audition). Best of all but expensive, but if you do a lot of audio work the best. Adobe has a 30 day trail if you wish to try it.

The other two have trial versions that you can try out.

I use all three for various editing functions I do.

There are others, I think Roxio "CD Creator" has an editor.

There are probably others, try searching limewire for "audio", "audio editor" see what happens.

The best are the three above with Adobe being #1.

LARRY
THANKS FOR THE QUICK REPLY. I KNOW, WAS PROBABLY A SLEEPER QUESTION FOR YOU.
LIKE I MENTIONED, I DON'T REMEMBER MAKING THESE FILE NAMES, WOULD I HAVE MADE THEM WHEN I FIRST SIGNED UP? WHEN I DOWNLOAD A SONG FROM LIMEWIRE, HOW DO I KNOW WHICH FILE IT GOES INTO????

LARRY,
WOW, I DIDN'T REALIZE THERE WAS SO MUCH TO COMBINING THE FILES. AND YES, THE FILES IN QUESTION ARE THE ONES THAT COME UP WHEN I OPEN LIMEWIRE, AND SELECT MY "LIBRARY" TAB. THEY ARE LISTED ON THE LEFT.

Did you download these files, if so you did not name them, they already had a name.

In order to combine them you must have an editor program as stated earlier.

Try the programs previously listed, you have some learning to do,
but doesn't take long.

Post you results back.

"My Library" should be the files you are sharing; these are files you either downloaded, or Made your self. Look under "Tool", "Options" and check where these files are located, usually by default they are located under C:\Documents & Settings\"your user name"\limewire\shared. Hope this is correct but if not it's close. I do not use the default setings, I use my own. You can specify "Saving", "Sharing", paths as you seem fit.

For example my "Sharing" is F:\MP3; F:\MP4 and G:\Wav files

Hope this helps.

Shared is the default name given to the downld folder. It is where your downlds will go after they have finished downlding. By default this folder is also shared.

Saved Files folder is almost the same as the Shared folder. It reflects what files you have downlded recently. There is no folder called saved files on your computer. It is simply a reference folder for your downlds. Not everybody shares their downld folder which would mean it wouldn't show in the Library window. Thus, Saved Files folder will still be listed in the Library window in any case even if Shared isn't.

The default location for your LW downlds is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared

You can change this as Larrybriggs1 suggested you can.
