 I have dsl and get d/l speeds up to 180KB/s. Like Only A Hobo said the money goes to help develop future versions of LW. It's a good app so I think it's worth it. If you do get it, make sure it's from the official site http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...um_intro.shtml
