I'm afraid that's the nature of the search. You have to be a bit tricky in how you use it. Try using the All Types, it often gives better results. If you're looking for a video of a race & you know where it was held, add that to the search (eg Australian Grand Prix - Adelaide 1994)

If you're searching for something very specific & typing in "Formula 1 race"... can't blame the search for what it throws up

Try to be as specific as you can, without getting the dreaded "Your search is too specific" popup!!
