Is it possible to resume incomplete dowloads from another p2p program using LW? Hello, I have a confession to make - I've cheated. For the past few weeks I have been using an alternate p2p program (shareaza to be exact) to download some tv shows that I just couldn't download on LW due to insufficient sources. I finally got the files that I wanted but have also started downloading some other episodes at the same time which are still pending. Now frustrated at how slow the downloads are, I was wondering whether I could somehow import the incomplete files from the raza folder to LW and resume the downloads... Any ideas, tips and/or suggestions highly appreciated! |
I'm pretty sure you can't. Read through this http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=54203 :) |
it's a totally different program.. i highly doubt you'd be able to do it... but if you can, cool. |
Thanks Birdy - it's what I figured but thought I'd ask anyway - just in case... :) It'll be back to LW for next week's episodes for sure! :D |
Ha, yeah you can! All you have to do is find it in a search on limewire and move the file from your Shareaza incomplete folder to your LW one and then when you find it in the search make sure it has the same magnet url and download it and it will resume where you left off on Shareaza! |
Actually, what was I thinking? Even better than searching, just put it in your incomplete folder for LW and goto your LW library in the incomplete folder and select resume, if it won't work then you're out of luck and you'll just have to search for it and start all over but it should work if it has the same magnet url. |
You would think it was that easy wouldn't you. Now you just go into the Downloads.dat file and enter the exact code to make Limewire think it has started downloading this file. |
only problem is that this thread is 4 months old |
It wouldn't matter if the answer was really found. I have tried this between Limewire and Frostwire and this doesn't work. I also tried asking the advanced question of how I would go about configuring the .dat file to accept it but never got an answer. If sure it isn't as hard as it seems, but I did not want to mess up my .dat folder and maybe risk loosing the other incompletes. In the end I just just deleted the incompletes but would still like to know if rewriting the .dat file could work |
