Quick question about random chats

How come sometimes I get messages from random IP addresses? It says I am chatting with them, but I can't reply cause it says "host is unavailable". Please explain...thanks.

They've probably tried to chat with you when you've not been at the computer. Then when you want to reply to them, they're not around any more. Chat is strange, with a mind of it's own. Sometimes it works, other times... forget it:)

thnx

Oh I see. Is there a way I can start a chat? Like, if i want to ask about the quality of a download or if the content is what the title is says it is?

Right click on the search page's column header & make sure chat is ticked. This way, you'll be able to see which hosts have chat enabled (a smiley:) means they have chat enabled). Now, right click on a file where you see a :) & choose 'chat with host'. A chat box will open & you can try to chat with the host of that file!

You can do the same thing with the monitor page & see which uploaders have chat on.

Like I said before though, sometimes it won't work!!
