About Limewire PRO I've recently heard of someone getting caught for downloading and fined five dollars a song, which turned out to be something to the tune of $83,000. Is Limewire PRO legal? Could a person using it still be fined for downloading? Thanks! -Josie |
Use the search button (top right) & look for legality or is LimeWire legal or similar. This topic has been discussed so many times! If you do a search, you can look through lots of old threads & get everyone's point of view:) |
If you divide 83,000 with 5 that would mean that that person had 16-17.000 song on his/hers comp. If all those songs were being shared then there's no wonder he/she got caught. Most people here would recommend that you do not share more than 1000 or maybe even 800 files. You will attract less attention to yourself that way. Also running Peerguardian while using Limewire might be a good idea.. but you are never completely safe with P2P. Try to think of it this way. What are the odds of you getting caught instead of the millions of other people doing the same as you do. You can get Peerguardian here: http://phoenixlabs.org/ Hope this helped a little in finding the answer you were looking for :) |
