Sharing help
 

A friend of mine is trying to search for the mp3's of my band, but can't locate them. They are on my machine, and are clearly in the shared panel. She found them when I had them as M4a, but couldn't use them. I converted them to mp3. Anyways, the files that I have are not searchable by others. ?

actually the m4a versions are showing up in search, but not the mp3

the band name is starmy, and there should be 15 or so mp3's as well as the m4a's. perhaps I need to re-input the song info. Maybe I imported the songs into the share folder wrong...I dunno:cool:

I did a search & got 12 mp3's called by numbers. 390 - 401
eg: 392.mp3
Is that them?
(I also did a DC & got the same result!)

i would type all of the names, but that would take all day...

Starmy-SONG TITLE

I configured my iTunes folder to be one of the sharing folders. should I just move all of the files directly into the shared folder/.

Would my firewall be doing anything?
also, people are able do DL 2 of the progrmas i have, just not the songs...well actually a strokes song was uploaded from me.

Did you name them before you added them to shares? If you added names after you opened LW, then you'll need to use the Refresh button in the library so it updates the information.

BTW were the files originally named as I found???

no they were named in my iTunes before I ever installed limewire. My program recognizes them. I have 2 versions of each song.(mp3, m4a) I also have 1031 other songs by popular artists, not just local bands that aren't lisenced.

Well all I know is I searched starmy - mp3 & got the following results shown by the attached image. Since I'm a moderator here I have access to everyone's ip. So I direct connected & got the same results. After I told you this I suddenly couldn't connect to you at all or find any results regarding starmy. lol :D Well I've got other things to do.

nah...that's not what I have. Weird. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to mail them.:rolleyes:
