Not to mention that because these are the Limewire forums, they'd be smart to come right out and sue you for admitting to obtaining one of their products illegally. Limewire is not to be used for downloading copyright protected products, which Limewire Pro is.

actually..these are not officially LW forums..this is the Gnutella Forums, which supports all presently active clients (ok, so we tend to ignore the Morpheus section)...and said users post is the reality..said file can be found floating around..and the responses have been accurate also..it is dangerous to play around with .exe files on p2p...ANY p2p client/network/server....

UnderDog28's attitude of AV scanning is rather short sighted..obviously that one doesn't realize that a scanner is only as good as its definitions...and before a definition can be added, it must be observed as being one...hence, its a bad idea to think that just because you scanned it and it came up clean, that its really clean...I've had files in archives for over a year, and suddenly had them come up as virii infested...and that's a fact...

THE GOLDEN RULE OF DOWNLOADING: everything is your fault..you downloaded it, and you used it...be prepared to reformat and do a clean install at any moment (been there, done that many times)..sure, a jerkwad hacker who wants to control the world added in a trojan/virii/etc, but YOU are the one who executed it....

I bet his AV is a hacked version as well. May he get zapped with a thousand viruses for being a dumbass bragger. Lets see how long it will take him to come back whining about a virus? :rolleyes:

limewire pro isnt much different than limewire. you probably barely recognize the speed. the only reason i can think of for anyone doing it is the annoying popup at the beginning.

the only reason to get pro, IMHO, is to keep LW developing the project and offering the basic for free.

What these fools dont realize is by using a hacked version that may contain worms/virus/trojans/spyware and open backdoors is the fact that they are causing the network to be flooded with virsus/trojans/worms etc that they b*tch about getting. Gnutella is now a virus breeding ground.

THERE IS NO BLOODY diff. between PRO or basic. You are STILL downloading off the Gnutella Network. Linewire is only the app connects you. I dont care what the app claims to do or how fast you go.

You can only go as fast as your ISP allows you too and some are even blocking P2P use. Retards will just never learn.:rolleyes:
