On the adware versions you can always uninstall the adware. The beta doesn't
have it and b25 is more powerful than BearShare Pro. Just remember to use the
BearStart utility, because the beta was supposed to be time-limited.

Behind every computer, I assume, sits a human being. This indicates undoubtfully the possibilty of mistakes, since that is a human trait. And in your case something might have gone wrong, when they didn't answer your mails. If you've ever run a business with employees then you learn to accept those facts of life, I guess:)

Yep, ran my own business for 10 years, and I would not accept that kind of performance from any of my staff!
Mac forums I visit generally have a poor regard for LW, very flakey on Mac's at best, big problems, like I had, at worst. Coupled with a lack of response from LW when you encounter problems you can understand why I hold it in low esteem.

What a lot of misinformation about LW on Macs.

Frostwire is LW code; Acquisition (the java part) is LW code; and kernel panics have nothing to do with LW--a user process can't crash the kernel on OS X. LW can only reveal an underlying problem with the system and hardware in the case of a kernel panic.

As for support, see how much support you get for Acquisition if you ask about a core problem, or forget to add a fan-boi comment to your post, or ask who get credit for writing core code.
