i have a question

how do i know what my number for limewire is like you know if you browse a host and a number pops up on the search tab thats what i want to find out what is my number??????????????????????????????

On the left side of the LW window you should see 3 tabs.
"Keyword", "What's new", and "Direct connect"

Click the last one and there you should see a number; that's your IP (if I am not mistaken)

well erm i looked but cant find out were it is i cant find my number it cuts off

By the way, there would be another way as well:

Check you IP address manually

Win 95/98 Operating Systems
• Click on the Start menu
• Select "Run"
• Type "winipcfg". Click"OK"

Win NT, 2000, XP Operating Systems
• Click on the Start menu
• Select "Run"
• Type "cmd". Click"OK"
• Type "ipconfig". Click "Enter"

I just tried the ipconfig and the Limewire direct comnnect hints. Both begin the same, but the LW number has 4 more numbers. Is this just for LW purposes or is there an error in the two numbers?
