iPod might be a little more sensitive than iTunes if you're using iTunes. Is it in your iTunes? Does it play in your iTunes?
See How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) - for video

You didn't say whether you're using mac OSX or windows.

Hi, yes its windows...I can play the video in the itunes videos section but do not know how to transfer it to the actual ipod?

Lord of the Rings April 17th, 2006 10:43 AM

It should transfer just as your music does. I don't have such an iPod. Mine is not video capable so I can't check it. Try manually adding it as described in the link I gave for manually adding items to iPod. ;)
You may have a video section/playlist for your iPod, so if it won't copy to main library, then add it to the video playlist. Experiment & let us know how it goes.

I have an iPod and I can easily get videos on. When you connect the iPod, go to Preferences. In the ipod section, make sure it connects videos. If the videos are already mp4, then it shoiuld go right on there. If they're not, I recommend downloading Videora iPod Converter for free. http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/

Hi, thanks...like another post I have seen I have no idea what to do with that download (the converter) ?

At the bottom of the paragraph of the 1st link I gave you, there's extra links on using Videora from their forums, etc.

After installing the converter, open it. Go to convert, and Transcode New Video. Find the vid you have to convert. Some videos, no matter how hard I try, wont convert at all. Pick a quality profile, I prefer mpeg4, 320x240, 1500bps, 128kbps, and press start. It should work. If not, try a different quality. I noticed this is a lot of trial and error

Check your options also. Many people make the mistake of converting without audio. So make sure that option is ticked.

Why would that even be a choice? I mean, who would want a soundless MUSIC video? lol
