Unsutable Runtime Environment Help! I've just installed a free version of Lime Wire (version "2.6.5") and it keeps coming up with a messgae saying "Sorry, Lime Wire could not locate a suitable runtime environment. Please dowload and install one from http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html". I have followed all the instructions and installed the Java software that it requested, but the error message still appears and I can't use Lime Wire! Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help! |
I think you have an old version of it. The new version is like 4.10. :) 2.6.5 is way old! Go to www.limewire.com to get the basic 4.10. :D |
Yeah, I know the version I've got is really old, but I only downloaded it from the Lime Wire site a few days ago cos it was the only version you don't have to pay for and I haven't been able to find any other 100% Free ones... I was hoping to get this one working, and as I said, I did everything it asked but it still won't work :( |
Im confused.... why would you want an old version? When a newer 1 works better. |
Well I took your advice and looked for the basic download of version 4. Turns out that one was free too so I've dowloaded it and I'm going to try and install it tonight :) Thanks heeps - I hope this one works! |
