Hmm doesn't sound good. Try saving them to another location.

Which version of Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.

I cant save them to another location. it freezes the minute I push save (then it asks me where I want them saved-I cannot get to this part)
