help me convert files

:confused: hi can sombody give me the link to any website that can convert AVI files to MPG or MPEG pls iv been into cnet but the programs i download only do 1 min or 1% of the file
is there a program that is FREE that can convert these files 100% !!!!!!!!!!!

There's a free demo version of dvdsanta, it is very user friendly and has all the bells and whistles of the paid version, the only thing is that the output video will have demo across the top but you can get around this by zooming in a frame on your dvd player...

DVD Santa

Hi. The DVD Santa is not that expensive. I am using Divx to burn anything DVD SAnta doesn't "like", Check out their home pages for price.
PS I am VERY new to all of this too.
