iTunes Transfer

Hi all

I'm new to this game. The FAQ said this about transfering audio downloads to iTunes, "If you are trying to transfer downloaded files with LimeWire to the iTune's Library, select the file in LimeWire's Library that you would like to transfer by clicking it. After releasing the mouse button, click and drag the file into iTunes."

This did not work for me - the file would not drag. If I download an mp3 file can it be used in iTunes??

Help please!!!!

There's several techniques for adding your music into iTunes. If one way doesn't work for you then try another. See How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes)
By default your music is normally saved here (unless you changed it): C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared

Easiest way

Thanks LOTR.

I've finally found where the files are kept when browsing for them. I presume I can just transfer complete playlists from LimeWire to iTunes in this manner??

What do u beleive to be the easiest way??

Do you know how I would transfer all my music from Windows Media Player to my iTunes library? Some guy I spoke to said that it had something to do with the licensing when I saved CD'd into Media player. If I could import these files it would save me a lot of time and money!!!

Regards

I find drag & dropping of the audio files directly onto the iTunes player interface -> Library folder is the easiest & fastest way. You can add multiple files at once. As far as wmp goes, just find where the songs it has are stored & add those also. As far as licensing goes .... if they're wma files I'm not sure as I don't normally use those type of files. I try to stay away from wma & its DRM licencing issues.
