mp3downloadhq

HI - the site was mpmusichq - said that i could legally access music for a one off payment - but I am totally confused now as it opens into limewire....

wondering why May 28th, 2006 06:01 AM

Yes they have scammed you, Limewire basic is free and Pro costs $18.88US...

batty1955 May 28th, 2006 06:03 AM

scammed

So is limewire totally legal etc - am sooo worried now

wondering why May 28th, 2006 06:12 AM

Limewire is totally legal....But what you choose to download may not be...
It is illegal to download files that are copyrighted...
What the Scam company promised you was a legal App, but what they dont tell you is what you choose to do with it is up to you...
They have no right to charge you for something that is free...
My suggestion would be get rid of the copy you purchased through them as it also could be full of spyware, get your money back and download limewire from the official site http://www.limewire.com
Once you have done that have a look around at the stickies at the beggining of the Open discussion forum and get to know what P2P and Limewire are all about...
Cheers ;)

They're just angry cos they accidentally got ripped off. We all feel the same way when our credit card gets taken advantage of. It happened to me twice believe it or not! We just have to be careful. Or as careful as we possibly can ... research often seems to help. Learn from our less than more intelligent decisions.

Legalities of downloading & sharing from what I've hear vary from country to country. AFAIK

batty1955 May 29th, 2006 04:20 PM

Hi Botox, am not angry - just very confused as on the one hand I have a company called mpmusichq who have assured me that it is perfectly legal to do what I am doing as I've paid, but not sure what i've paid for if Limewire is free. I guess I am confused about copyrights etc. Assumed maybe in correctly that the one off fee i'd paid was in effect royalties. . Oh well - never mind - won't do it again:-)
